Virgo (Aug 23 - Sep 22)
Virgo: Serious Eclipses are occurring this month to be visible across the whole center of the US. But to begin, Mercury, your ruler, will Retrograde this month on the 13th but will be in your sign so you might have some unique opportunities here. Besides the fact that Virgo is ruled by Mercury and so the planet is dignified in your sign, it crosses in this instance through your house of self and will take its time considering its backtracking. This could be a short period in which to consider yourself somewhat from a distance, to measure your words carefully, to consider the full impact of your speech, of your ideas. There is a simultaneous urge to communicate and a tendency towards silent reflection and contemplation with this transit that will carry some meaning for you in the process of integrating. Venus will oppose Pluto this month, alighting the axis of greater social opportunities and personal creative movements, where Pluto lies. Pluto has been for some time revitalizing and deepening your awareness of creation, of work, of the depth of sacrifice necessary to really form something integral to your being--and Venus here suggests that that desire of yours is exacerbated, dragged out before the public, or perhaps made manifest by relationship. You might meet someone important at this time, someone with whom you could seriously love but also live through the playing around of ideas and life. But we must move on--the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will occur on August 7th at 15 degrees Aquarius in your house of routine, habits, and health, opposing Mars and the Sun in your twelfth house of undoing, of secrets, repressed things, and well supported by Jupiter form your house of the body, of a secure base, and personal security. Jupiter of course suggests that your wallet is bulging, which may or may not be true--you could also be spending a lot, but your body will probably be well physically, built well, that is, for the passing Moon has some bearing on your health. The Full Moon crossing so fully over it suggests a flare up of something, a crisis within an old routine, for the Full Moon rounds out and concludes passing away material. Mars in your house of repressions coupled with the Sun might certainly be aggravating your inner equilibrium and pushing both mental and physical stressors to the surface, and this manifests in you on a mundane level--as a health problem, as a deepening of your awareness of the body, of your every day motions, as a light shone over to expose the very temple and sacred rituals of your soul, which are really our mundane rituals. Then on August 21st there is a very dynamic, active Solar Eclipse uniting the fire signs through Mars in Leo, Uranus in Aries, and Saturn in Sagittarius, not to mention the profound timing and personal stake which the combined Sun and Moon bring alongside Mars in Leo. Thus the Solar Eclipse occurs in your house of repressed, secret matter--it alights and brings into focus the destabilizing motions of Uranus in your house of relationships, but also occult connections, and death and rebirth, as well as Saturn in your house of core being. Now this seems very insular, very deep, connected, and meaningful to me. Saturn has for a long while been in a hard position, a depressing place, and here is triggered to release and cleanse you of these feelings, to unload your burdens. Uranus I do believe functions here by helping you to embrace the unknown and the hard cycles of this life; the same is true really of the positions of Mars, the Moon, and Sun. You must let go and honor your difficulties in this life, and acknowledge you are not given anything you cannot handle; it is all within you to weather and bear it. But renewal is near. Yes, it is very near.
