Virgo (Aug 23 - Sep 22)
Virgo: Happy New Year, Virgo. This year really begins with a bang unlike any I've seen before with the biggest Supermoon of 2017 occurring on January 2nd, right out of the races, and a Lunar Eclipse on the 31st. This Supermoon or Full Moon which will appear huge in the sky is in Cancer in your house of vast social exploration and alignment and is part of a rare and very fortuitous pattern with five other planets called a kite. This kite has a strong axis from the Moon in that social house to Venus and Pluto opposite in your house of physical expression, children, and living your joy. Then there are the wing-flanks of Mars and Jupiter in your house of the subjective mind and goings on about town and Neptune in your house of relationships. Well the Moon is part of a big social realm, connecting you with a scene in which you feel nourished and included, and this feeds directly into the confidence you have in your own expression where an arsenal of passion lies for you to tap, for Venus and Pluto together in this house represent the pinnacle of the power of emotion and passion. Thus if you are an artist or you have your own expression this Full Moon might bring about a time of recognition, and a stage for you to express deep, intense talent, for the Moon in the eleventh house often brings real visibility. Mars and Jupiter suggest a busy time in your locale and an elastic, engaged presence of mind, while Neptune is powerfully placed, giving you an almost hypnotic quality when you speak to others which holds them spellbound to hear your voice. There is not one interpretation here with so many planets involved. Pregnancy and birth is also likely as Venus and Pluto are filtering so much power and presence into the house of children. In that case, the Moon would suggest a burgeoning supportive community of parents, Neptune an intimate, sweet, and well-meaning partner, if not a little overly optimistic and naive, and Mars and Jupiter that happy mania of preparing for a baby that usually accompanies all births. Another note on this situation is the New Moon on the 17th which falls in Capricorn in that house of expression and children, connecting to nearby Venus and Pluto, but now challenged by Uranus from your house of deep relationship crisis and joint finances. It could be that at this time you find your resources, when you need them most, are more unpredictable than you would have wanted, but Uranus can also brings unexpected funds, so you should not give up your finances for lost and maybe even take some risk. Also relationship-wise you might find some reason to fight here, which might not be worked out until certain elements come to light and you can confront them openly, forgive one another for naivety and assumption, and laugh at your heightened feelings. Finally a Lunar Eclipse in Leo will occur on the 31st, much more of a lone situation here, but powerfully affecting because of the power of an Eclipse, occurring for your in your house of unconsciousness and loosely opposed Venus recently come into your house of routine. So I think this Lunar Eclipse heralds a final dealing with feelings you've long wrestled with in the dark, fears of weakness, demons which have plagued you, self-doubt. Venus suggests that you must just engage yourself in the here and now and take each day as it comes, meditate, think deeply, yes, but meet each day with presence of mind and body, and a willingness to love. You cannot obliterate all your fears or answer all your secret questions in one sweep; life is the unfolding of this seeking of answers to deep questions, life is the searching for them. Now is an important moment: you let some go, or perhaps, if you are very intuitive and lucky, you actually drag up some answers which serve you well enough.
