Taurus (Apr 20 - May 20)
Taurus: We begin the month, Taurus, on the heels of the Full Moon on the last day of March when the Sun was in harsh aspect to Mars and Saturn. Yes, one of the more difficult aspects possible, but with necessary ramifications and sometimes very positive effects. As for Saturn, it forces us to lay down structure, to not skip ahead, to test the steadiness of our ascent. Coupled with Mars we simple experience the force of Saturn with more haste and vigor than Saturn usually prefers. For you the pair, and Saturn of course for much longer, is in a house of mental depths and exploration, at odds with the opposing Sun and Moon along your body-soul, mental and spiritual health axis. So it seems April could possibly begin with a pitfall in your health, with a confinement to your current place and time, perhaps getting bogged down at work. You might be called upon to research further, to retrace your steps, or to affix your head to the deeper motions of your life, feeling at the moment pressed by mundane, superficial minutiae. But everything has its roots in deep, slow-moving cycles, even if amidst so many strewn together, resembling one another hours. Mars will motivate you here to look beneath the surface, to read late in the night, to investigate, widen your perspective. You might also be forced into challenge by the world around you, for example, by a group very culturally different, by government oversight, or requirements, that force you to be extra careful and check yourself twice. If you’re abroad, experiences are jarring at this time, but memorable, even life changing. Moving on, April 15th we have a New Moon at 26 degrees Aries, perhaps near your Ascendant if you have rising Taurus in an early degree, but in your twelfth house of secretes, repressions, private rituals, and subconsciousness, near also Uranus in the late degrees of Aries. This New Moon will be very private for you. Mid April could find you more and more withdrawing into yourself; it could find you shutting the door to your private abode, cancelling appointments, mediating, over-thinking by yourself. Uranus suggests that there is almost a physical pressure moving you to solitude; there are things you must decipher in yourself, perhaps through the thickets of your past, or others’ pasts, perhaps in the very depths of your consciousness. Finally on April 29th, there will be a Full Moon in your opposite sign of Scorpio shortly after the Sun has entered your own sign of Taurus, at 9 degrees. This will fall in your house of others, relationships, and is very benignly connected to other planets. It is a Full Moon supported by Saturn, by Neptune, with Jupiter close at hand. You may meet someone important at this time, who you could love, if unattached. I think socially it is a very good time to go out; cathartic experiences seem to be awaiting you. If you’re in a relationship, then this is a sweet, sweet, connective time. You could also make a partnership in your work, or business, that takes a lot of pressure off of you and comes as a great relief.
