Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21)
Scorpio: Your ancient ruler, Mars, is finally picking up speed and in direct motion after spending so much of the summer in retrograde. This summer it was hard to get much done but you did have a chance to trace back connections having to do with the past. Now in September you should focus on goals ahead. With Mars in Aquarius and in your house of core emotional being and home—you might be really determined to move, to change something about your home, but also to strike down on your emotional body, and be somewhat self-concerned about what you really need. This is a strong self-protective aspect. Mars doesn’t bode so well for everyone in this house; it can be felt as a disruptive, even anger-inducing influence, but it is generally good for Scorpios to go through this. Think of Mars’ position here as intense inner motivation and an opportunity to deal with your more corrosive, self-eating kind of feelings, to release them and make them constructive. September 9th we have a New Moon at 17 degrees Virgo in a house which has to do with your associations in the world, as well as long term plans, supported by Pluto, your modern day ruler in your house of the mind, and Jupiter, still in Scorpio and your own house of self. Neptune opposes the New Moon from a house which has to do with making your own pleasures and enjoying life. A good time to be out there, meeting and being with people, and to make important connections that will help you in the long run. You might have some rose-colored glasses on concerning the nature of these connections and what they will bring you on an emotional level, but the impetus to connect is healthy. Then on September 25th there will be a Full Moon at 2 degrees Aries in your house of routines, health habits, making a hard angle to Saturn from your house of the mind. This is a tough one, which involves really dealing with realities at hand. You might have to make some cold, hard decisions, and you might have to even fight off depression, for Scorpios do better when their super high ambitions and dreams seem more plausible. But sometimes we must deal with the gritty, constricting, earthy requirements of this world, the limitation of our bodies, and our environments, and this seems to be one of those times. Keep your head up. Mars supports this Full Moon from that core emotional house so you might look at it as simply suspending your fulfillment till a later date. And Scorpios, when they mature, learn better than any sign how to wait for things.
