Sagittarius (Nov 22 - Dec 21)
Sagittarius: Mars slides into your sign this month, Sagittarius, and so it's a good time to swallow your fear and go after what you want. You should feel a rush of energy and confidence that, despite any previous reservations, urges you to make moves. The Sun, Venus, and Mercury are traveling close together, at first through Aquarius and your house of the mind, which also rules your goings-on in your locale. You might be busy the first half of the month with errands and correspondences, but then when the whole lot moves into Pisces, they come to conjunct Neptune, a very slow moving planet that is antagonistic to Mars' position at the moment in your own sign. Pisces for you is a fellow mutable sign, and assuming you have Sagittarius rising in your chart, runs along the lowest house, which rules the self rooted in heritage, rooted in sense of being and particularity. Having Neptune here so slow moving will over time depersonalize your sense of what makes up your core self, strange as that sounds, but so that you may not pigeonhole yourself, and widen your perspective of our usually narrow confines of self. Neptune can infuse you more with the greater mysteries of this life; it is a diffusing planet, the only one that deconcentrates. Its intent is catharsis, detachment. Having it in the house of inner power, and triggered as it this month by the Sun-Venus-Mercury, and Mars' square, might bring about conflicting feelings. Mars is powerfully placed, anxious to be put to use to gain you more autonomy and singular expression of self, while Neptune is ever-pressing you not to hole yourself up in any way, to give away, to allow yourself to be transformed by outer forces. It's an almost irreconcible tete-a-tete, but could manifest in taking steps forward for yourself, while simultaneously, exuding such nonchalance that your energy, not really forceful, inadvertently brings you trust. Must move on: there is one major Moon movement this month, on the heels of the Total Lunar Eclipse on the 31st, and that is the Partial Solar Eclipse on February 15th, for you falling at 27 degrees Aquarius and your house of the mind, perhaps close to your Nadir, the bottommost point of your chart. This is an Eclipse well-flanked by Venus, Mercury, supported by Uranus from your house of creative projects, and stimulated by a square from Jupiter, which is not a harsh aspect, really, from your house of unconsciousness. This Solar Eclipse seems opportunistic to me: it could open doors in writing fields, in publishing, broadcasting, all the communicative arts. Uranus suggests a deep creative element that is relevant, and perhaps just what is needed somewhere, while Jupiter behind the scenes can bless you with impeccable timing, with great inner faith. You may have an opportunity for a short trip, and if you do you should definitely take it. Eclipses take six months to play out, so look for more clues as to the far-reaching effects of this one into next August.
