Libra (Sep 23 - Oct 22)
Libra: What a summer we have ahead! Three eclipses in a row over a month long period, with the last in August. So this month I’ll head into detailing the first two, a Partial Solar Eclipse on July 13th at 20 degrees Cancer, and a Total Lunar Eclipse on July 27th at 4 degrees Aquarius. The Solar Eclipse hits your most important axis, the spine of your chart, with the Moon cresting in your house of career, and Pluto, directly opposite to an exact degree in a house in which you harbor the most intimate knowledge of yourself, your grounding, your sense of home. Neptune is supportive to this dynamic opposition from your house of crisis and routines as well. There very well might be a measure of visibility in your career opening up for you. If you have anything dark and real to show for yourself, whether it’s in the nature of a creation you’ve put together, or in your speech, or simply your presence at a certain event, then you must show it around this time. Your eyes will be flashing with incomparable intensity for Pluto here indicates that whatever you have to show has the bearings of your soul upon it. You step forward with your very life at risk, for it is always a risk to show ourselves truly. There is nothing light about a Moon-Pluto opposition such as this, and as I said, it hits the tender spine of your chart. Go with your instinct around mid-July, and do not doubt, or ask too much advice. Pluto is operating with direct influence from your psyche, and your core energy, even your ancestry—but people around you, social tides, the skeleton of the norm could interfere with the lone messages you’d receive from solitary exploration. Trust yourself at this time even if it seems irrational. Mercury will go retrograde on the 26th, which I won’t delve into this month, as it’ll affect us more in August. We’ll all be embroiled at this time instead with the Total Lunar Eclipse the next day, on the 27th. For you this lights up that axis of social affiliations and solitary creative impulses, as well as love affairs, the having of children, and the notion of seeking our pleasures in life versus fleshing out the range of a moral compass. The Sun will be in that house of morals where we feel out what we believe in, who we stand with, and the Full Moon opposite, directly aligned with Mars, will be stirring up your most intense, competitive, and loving spirit. Moon and Mars are volatile and playful and intense together, and in the fifth house will really ignite your sense of self in a fighting sort of stance. Uranus throws a wrench in this opposition, pulling the Sun and Full Moon-Mars into a tight T-square. Uranus answers from your house of tested relationships, and greater finances. You might be throwing your money into something risky at this time, but important to you as an artist, or an humanitarian. You could also do something impulsive romantically, too: that is a very strong impulse it seems. This Lunar Eclipse is about channeling our impulses, our reckless natures, with Mars and Uranus at a square. How can our most volatile emotions and deepest desire for radical change in ourselves be positively channeled? It could be through a relationship, even if it seems too irrational for words, or a project, certainly. In some sense Uranus asks that we do not come up with reasons beforehand for how things should be, but that we move by instinct, by a love of what change and chaos does for us, and keep our faith that we are going the right way, even blindfolded.
