Leo (Jul 23 - Aug 22)
Leo: This New Year really starts off loud and blazing with the Supermoon of 2018 occurring right away on January 2nd in Cancer, or your house of unconsciousness, at 11 degrees. This Supermoon is also uniquely aligned with five other planets in an extremely fortuitous configuration called a kite. The kite has a definite axis and points the way to a great unfolding, triggered by the profound and powerful timing set by the Full Moon, which for you hits the axis of health in our mind-body connection. The Full Moon in your house of unconscious draws from a deep pool of your repressions, of what forms you in the dark, drawing it out by emotional and personal association and making it relevant and poignant to the house of routine, crisis, and physical health directly opposite. Venus and Pluto there indicate that while health is flexible, you are subject at this time to such intensity that nervous disorders could follow, and the Moon suggests honoring your emotions, your past, and steeping yourself in all the disorders of the heart and meditating with this to let go of certain physical ailments. This is a Full Moon and it represents endings, so if any physical ailment is relevant here, I think it's already been around for a while. This movement from unconsciousness to the humdrum routines of life also suggests a certain profound peace to come through your physical determination whether this is in a holistic practice that you partake in daily, or a nourishing routine, or work which feeds your soul. The kite has two wings also which support Venus-Pluto, and they are Mars and Jupiter from your house of core beliefs and inherited habits, which suggests a deep, also very emotional drive and support from your family, and faith in yourself; the opposite wing is Neptune in your house of relationship, crisis, financial partnership, as well as renewal and death. How does this all piece together? Well there is no one manifestation, and you know better what is relevant to your life, but Mars and Jupiter bring out joyously and with intent what makes up who you are, whether that is a talent, your family, or the depth of your personality, and turns it into living energy with the revitalization of the pattern of your days, and your work, as the goal. Neptune from the eighth is very connected to the unconsciousness and filters old archetypes, symbolism, and psychic intuition, as well as an ethereal feeling for living and dying into a very earthly and physically present house. It seems to me that this Full Moon could bring about healing for you in many ways; whether this is of the heart or body is only for you to say. There will be another notch added to the puzzle here with the New Moon following on the 17th, hitting also your house of routine and nearby Venus and Pluto, but this time challenged by Uranus from your house of objective reasoning and camps of schooling or cultural influence. There might be a looming feeling that you're deviating too much from established norms or a particular anxiety from paving your own way absolutely in defiance of so many other old ways, and dogmas, but you must sniff out your own truth. Uranus loves breaking new ground, too, and never comes without some stirring jolt that shocks others or with which you can't really reconcile yourself or explain. Trust yourself and don't get deterred just because there's no rule book for the way you'd like to go. And finally there is a Lunar Eclipse on the 31st in your sign of Leo at 11 degrees which is quite on its own, only loosely opposite Venus in your house of relationship. A wonderful time to accept the requirements of renewal, to let go of all old feelings and old sorrows. You are supported by some kind of partner here and should trust that in addition to your own faith in yourself, if someone loves you and supports you, that's more than enough to live on.
