Leo (Jul 23 - Aug 22)
Leo: This month, Leo, the personal planets are finally all direct so April should be a busy, enterprising kind of time for everyone, full of movement, lust for change. A New Moon on April 5thfalls into a curious line of New Moons this year all at 15 degrees; the last three were at 15 degrees, which is kind of incredible, so this is the fourth at such a degree and the pronouncement upon ‘15’ if you have it personal in your chart is extreme. Those who have it, either by Ascendant or position of Sun or Moon might find that this year is about assertion of their power, making moves to break old ties and routines that aren’t working, and branching out fully reborn. On April 5ththe New Moon will square or conflict with Saturn and Pluto, ensconced together in Capricorn, for you in your house of routines, habits, health, and everyday mindset. This isn’t the easiest house to keep these two heavy, life-altering planets that are the force behind building up cities and breaking them down, and everything that would build and feign permanence but then simply get broken down by time and erosion. Such is Saturn and Pluto together, the concentration of the natural process of things, birth and death. So in this house which has to do definitely with crisis, you’re going to find that the next few years have to do with embracing challenges, and the changes they bring, like rowing a boat that never quite reaches shore, till both shall cross your Descendant, then huge changes will be abreast. But that will take time. This month, with the New Moon in your house of objective, ripening understanding, foreign travel, and opening your mind, take it all slowly and with great awareness. These aren’t so much aspects of self-assertion but of reticence and observation. Then on April 19thwe have a second Full Moon in Libra, which is curious, this one at the last, last degree, 29, called ‘terminal’, and full of embroiled intensity and instability. This Moon falls along your mental axis, perhaps pushing towards your Immum-Coeli, a point which has to do with your innermost self. This Moon, too, is tense with Pluto. So I think merely that all that’s occurring at the moment is for your growth; I find this Moon to be in a reticent position in your chart, too. Hone in, breathe, meditate, don’t put too much force out there yet. It might be time to just let the river of life carry you. You’ll know the moment for striking, Leo’s usually do.
