Leo (Jul 23 - Aug 22)
Leo: We enter, April, Leo with the pulsations of Saturn’s lessons running through us; sometimes it can’t be helped. The Full Moon on March 31st put Saturn’s message into power, as the Sun and Moon were both at odds with the planet of permanence, restriction, and practicality. Mars was also present which pushes Saturn’s lessons to be active now, and also screws with the idea that permanent things take long to put in place. For you, both Mars and Saturn are now in a house of routines and health matters. The transiting Sun and Moon were alighting your axis of the mind, objective and subjective viewpoints, and so it seems your mental health might have been strained by March’s end. Some old routines of yours simply might have drained your health, your strength, and can no longer be put up with. The Sun and Moon definitely speak to mental exhaustion, as well as perhaps the collapse of previously upheld convictions. But Saturn is not without mercy: everything can be worked on. Sometimes it is the injuring push that ends up enacting real change. Mars is also often present at a breaking point. So, start to take care of yourself in this new spring, turn an eye to your routines, scrutinize them, hold them up—what actually serves your body, your mind, your spirit? What hurts you, inadvertently, drains your energy, thus hindering your fulfillment of the activities and lifestyle you want for yourself? Mars’ presence here also means that even if you have been feeling drained, suddenly your energy is rampant just so you can be busy with changes. Moving on, April is by no means a grim month. On the 15th there will be a New Moon at 26 degrees Aries, the Sun and Moon both closely aligning with Uranus in your house of objective reasoning, foreign travel, and experiences with greater or different bodies of knowledge than yourself or what you’ve grown up with. The house also rules universities, legal systems, religious organizations. Uranus here pronounces you are on the hunt for a new faith, or rather you’re pressed to search for answers, to overturn every rock in an attempt to broaden your horizons. The New Moon sanctions this. A trip could be in order to another country. You might be entering college and doing so with a rare frame of mind actually quite conducive to learning, ready to apply yourself but not to take words at face value: you need to be proven to on a deeper level. You could even have experiences here with the legal system, and if you do, it might be out of the blue to you, but you’ll be able to edge along by keeping an open mind, and not having any particular expectations. On April 29th, we have a really lovely Full Moon in Scorpio, for you hitting a low, all important house having to do with your inner equilibrium, your most heartfelt and deep-rooted emotional needs, your home life, your sense of core personality. The Moon here is supported by Saturn, Neptune, loosely aligned with Jupiter. You might start feeling really well at the end of the month, conducive and sympathetic to your deepest needs, more ready to give yourself up to responsibilities and yet retain your highest ideals, your deepest most sacredly held beliefs and notions of love. This is a nourishing, I think even a spiritually awakening Full Moon. Emotionally, your heart expands, you love without judgment, and you must include yourself in this feeling.
