Gemini (May 21 - Jun 21)
Gemini: We are in Eclipse season for the summer by mid July, with two Partial Solar Eclipses, one on July 13th, the other on August 11th, flanking a total Lunar Eclipse on July 27th. The Total Lunar Eclipse is hard-angled and intense, but I find the first Partial Solar Eclipse to be gentle, though coercive: Pluto will be directly opposed to the Solar Eclipsed New Moon on the 13th, which is in emotive Cancer, and thus pulling as much as humanly possible our deeper, less spoken about feelings out into the universe. This key opposition happens to fall along an axis for you that has to do with finances, your bodily security, and thus sexual expression as well. The Moon will be in your second house, aligned with the Sun, the pairing sextile or supported by Neptune up in your house of career, which is actually a wonderful configuration for taking financial risks on your “dreams” or a seemingly irrational, nonlucrative route towards self-fulfillment. Your state of finances will be in definite flux. And Pluto pulls this energy out from your eighth house, its natural domain, where it has been has quietly and permanently altering the willingness you have to meld yourself with others, both financially and sexually, for years, as Pluto’s transits are long, long, sometimes a decade. This Solar Eclipse brings the depths of this long-term arrangement into immediate crisis: there is something at stake here. You could be spending money in bulk, having to put your trust in a company or an outside party, but what is most likely is that emotionally, sexually, you’re going to be broken open. Moon and Pluto when combined live and breathe along the darker, most intimate rungs of humanity, profound sexual union being where the lowest, darkest rung meets the higher ephemeral territory of the soul. Then on the 27th there will be the Total Lunar Eclipse exactly conjunct or aligned with Mars, opposed the Sun, as all Full Moons must be, with the whole lot in direct square to Uranus, thus forming a tight, tension-filled T-square. For you this points you along your axes of the mind, with the Sun falling into a quick-thinking subjective house, and the Moon in an objective, community concerned realm tied closely with Mars. Uranus, meanwhile, having just entered Taurus, around your house of unconsciousness, and sometimes undoing, deepens the intensity of your thoughts, the very scope of them, so that you really cannot fathom your own mind. Uranus is going to be fundamentally changing the very contours of your thought processes and breaking open old walls put up to protect you from unconscious things over its seven year transit, and this is the first major Lunar trigger to throw consciousness on this change. You can hardly conceive in some sense what’s happening to you: there could be startling, destabilizing confusion in your head, or in your heart—Mars’ connection suggests this energy gets funneled out through some active, personally concerned decisions on your part. You could be traveling around this time, too, with the Moon in the house of foreign travel, and Mars there as well: there is an eagerness for exploration. The Sun’s position grounds you in a sense of keeping your habits alive, and you feel the presence of people you love within proximity, yet there is a true floating away element here, a vast openness to the places your mind can travel. It’s opened up by an emotional key, by shedding away fear in your heart. There are some things you cannot know by pure mental exploration.
