Gemini (May 21 - Jun 21)
Gemini: 2018 begins in such a calamitous, exciting way that I have maybe never seen with the biggest Moon of 2018, a Supermoon, starting off the year and a Lunar Eclipse on January 31st. But to begin, this Supermoon at 11 degrees Cancer forms a rare picture in the sky with six plants engaged in an extremely fortuitous configuration called a kite. The kite points the way to a vast unfolding, and is supported by planets which almost engage all corners of the chart. It is rare and intensely positive, and an incredible way to start the year. For you the Moon in Cancer drives the theme of the kite down on your intimacy-resources axis. The Moon falls in your second house of body-feelings, personal space, and personal income, and makes a direct connection to Venus and Pluto in your eighth house of intimacy in partnership, financial partnership, and the occult power of harmonizing wave-lengths between people. Pluto for one things rules that eighth house and is made intensely personal by the involvement of Venus so close. That pair embodies tragic love, sacrifice in love, unparalleled passion. For you, falling in the eighth house, which also rules sex, you may at the start of January experience intensity of feeling and heights of passion never again matched in your life, and all the planets culminate and point to this Venus-Pluto placement. Also, money-wise, something big can occur like an investment that blows open your means, a profession of faith you never thought you'd get, even a death which could secure you a legacy, inheritance. The Moon suggests a basic open emotional disposition that makes your feelings fluctuate wildly, but also attunes you to a beyond comprehension possibility of pleasure in your body. With money you might spend now because of emotional feelings, too, but maybe it doesn't matter: real resources could be at hand here. Venus-Pluto is supported by Mars and Jupiter in your sixth house of routine suggesting that you are going through your days now drinking meaning, health, and good feeling just from your basic motions, and that your appetite and drive is flared up and healthy. The last supporter, which completes the kite, is Neptune in your house of career, which, if the Full Moon turns out to be primarily romantic in nature could mean that you begin to identify yourself in this life more as a partner than you ever have before, but if Venus-Pluto points the way to a treasure box of resources, then you might have means to make your career dreams come true. On January 17th the New Moon builds on these themes further by doubling down on that eighth house and engaging Venus and Pluto again. What to do with new money might be on your mind now, or how best to go about indulging in your new depth of passion. But now Uranus is involved at harsh angle from your house of vast social intuition and involvement, but this house is Uranus' domain, suggesting to me that you might have many new faces and new scenes at your disposal to peruse at the moment that are quite stimulating. At first, maybe, it feels daunting as you are a little out of place, but you are a Gemini, and usually up to the versatile challenge of taking on a new part amidst strange faces. Finally, the Lunar Eclipse on the 31st is rogue compared to the bevy of activity around the Full and the New Moon. The Lunar Eclipse at 11 degrees Leo has a distant wink with Venus but otherwise operates quite alone. For you this hits your house of the mind, and is suggestive at this time in the wake of huge January events of a basic shift in perspective. Perhaps also the components of your daily life, and the faces you meet on your routines, begins to shift irrevocably. The people you see daily, how your mind operates on a basic level, and the depth, with Venus' say, of an embracing, philosophy of love and inclusion can alter the actual taste of your world, which encompasses your basic experience of life. So quiet as it may be, this Lunar Eclipse is without a hint of regret, but perhaps later a dose of nostalgia, closing the door on an old way of life so that you may begin anew, with the Solar Eclipse having more to say on that by mid-February.
