Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 19)
Capricorn: This month Capricorn Venus is relatively stationary, first retrograde, then direct by the 15th, but very slow to pick up, all around the Nadir of your chart, or close to this point, where Pisces crosses into Aries. This point is extremely sensitive. Not only ruling what was learned in childhood and potentially ancestrally passed down but the being you would construct for yourself as a core, the type of roots which must balance that tree of self you create and uphold daily which meets its trials and infamy in the point opposite at the Midheaven. Venus languishing at the Nadir typically brings a deep artistic aesthetic to your most tender parts but also can help you connect your hidden self with someone in relationship. Venus desires social, intimate exchange, openness, love, and here you might have an inclination to expose, or to see without fear these parts which might otherwise be locked away. The entire spine and shoulder axes of your chart are activated this month. Directly opposite in the tenth house that begins with the Midheaven we have the full moon in Libra on April 11th aligned with Jupiter. At first it seems a very conspicuous beginning; Jupiter ignited with the timing and the emotional oomph of the moon can bring clear public visibility, some kind of expansion beyond yourself, as well as recognition, and awards. It can also for one reason or another bring a cessation of your high responsibilities, which in itself is not always good. This full moon is at odds with Pluto in your house of self, which will stand for here the division between the self that knew not and the one that is aware. And Uranus is part of the lower part of what is this T-square, with Pluto at the apex, Uranus being in the house of the Nadir, that lower house of self. Uranus there certainly can be unsettling, and this planet has been dragging through for a while. You won't be able to hide from old traumas or imagine yourself any other way than somewhat contradictorily, and when you look deep down in yourself you do not know the depths at which you might reach when action calls for it. Up against this unknown is a public who would have you pinned down, with your social duties. And meanwhile Pluto churns up your sense of self irrevocably, sets you down for the hard road. There is something precarious, even untrustworthy about any awards Jupiter might bestow now at the top of the chart while the heaviest, most uprooting, most crisis-orientating planets circulate through the hidden parts of you. Finally by month's end on April 26th we have a calm, unobtrusive new moon in Taurus, for you falling in your house of personal creativity, love affairs, children. Whether it be a romantic excursion, the announcement of a pregnancy, a birth, or a new project, this new moon seems to me the unpretentious start of something new that has wrapped up with it all the hope of the world.
