Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 19)
Capricorn: There's some madness in store for this month with two big Eclipses to occur, sweeping visibly across the US. Before we get into that, I'll mention that Mercury will Retrograde in Virgo in your house of objective thinking and theory-based deducement, where we picture and cleave to idols, to arresting visuals, to group methodology. Mercury here suggests a poring over this realm of thought, a revisiting of it, and a certain contemplativeness. Venus will also oppose Pluto in your house of self while it moves through your house of relationship so that mid month you may feel some sharp twangs of fever-love as the opposition between Venus and Pluto is a classic one of drastic, wounded love, deep and full of conflicted motions. There is and has been a lot shifting within you personally and much to reckon with, and your depth of thought and solitariness have been pronounced with Pluto in your sign, but Venus is determined to draw it out, to appeal to the real human within, the core of being, your child-self--but let's move on. On August 7th there will be the Lunar Eclipse falling at 15 degrees Aquarius in your house of personal income and security in general, the body as well, opposed to the transiting Sun and Mars in your house of combined income and testing of relationships. The theme of relating and security and giving and openness is apparent here and money is always involved in that, and in any partnership. How independent the two people remain sets a very real stage for relating and trust, as it goes. But a Lunar Eclipse takes a recurring theme and caps it in a grand and usually lasting fashion--it is a fully realized end, as deep as they come, and worth honoring. The Solar Eclipse on the other hand begins with new material on August 21st and is quite alive and active. It occurs at 28 degrees Leo in your house of deeper relationships on the star of Regulus and unites the power of the fire signs through Uranus in Aries and Saturn in Sagittarius. Thus your house of core being and child-motives and ancestry are triggered through Uranus, while Saturn, your ruler, squirrels away into the past, bringing up memories that are faded like city lights in the dawn from your house of undoing, and the Sun/Moon and Mars bring cohesiveness and intensity into your most affected relationship, as well as responsibility and crisis. One can conjecture many things that can begin here, but that would take up too much space. Suffice to say your spirit is vulnerable, the entirety of the water houses are triggered, the depth and openness of your emotions is the deciding factor between humble acquiescence to matters at hand or bitter resistance. Acquiescence is better in the long run, your heart will be more soothed, it's better in this life to be vulnerable and to suffer than to be cold, brittle, held aloft, bright as far away stars.
