Cancer (Jun 22 - Jul 22)
Cancer: This month, Cancer, you have Mars behind your sphere and so April is a good time to be in readiness for when Mars will enter Cancer sometime in May, and put you in the forefront with power, determination, and spirit. But now is a good time to do much for yourself, behind the scenes work, perhaps delve into private projects. This month on April 5thwe have a New Moon which falls into a trend of New Moons, all at 15 degrees, which rather astounds me, as an astrologer. In January the Solar Eclipse was at 15 degrees, then in February and March the New Moons were also at 15 degrees, and now again, in April! So there you have it, that degree which in the Tarot corresponds to the Devil card, and has great alchemical significance, is radiating through this year. Anyone who has their Sun, Ascendant, or Moon at that degree can expect much to manifest. The New Moon will square Saturn and Pluto who have been coasting near each other for some time and will continue to do so as Saturn slowly moves through the sign of its rulership. For you Saturn and Pluto have been redefining your house of partnership, deepening your ties, your awareness of self, and your willingness to give and receive and ride the daunting waves of understanding and connection. The New Moon will hit your house of career and be in intense aspect to those planets, so it seems to me some underlying tension between what you give of yourself privately and what you need to do publicly might be at the fore. They could also help each other, these two sides; your significant other could be brought somewhat into your work, or your work somehow could have a determining influence on your relationship, perhaps because of a move, or an opportunity that your partner can choose to support or not. It’s an emotional aspect though, one of great need and some stubbornness, but most of all need, nosing about for transformation, release. Then on April 19ththere will be a Full Moon in Libra, the second in a row (!!), this one falling at 29 degrees, the last and terminal degree of the sign. And for you Libra sits at the bottom, bottom of your chart, though this Moon leans definitely towards your fifth house of joy of life, creativity, children, romance, adventure. The Moon squares Pluto in the house of relationship as well. This Moon makes me think that though you might want to do something fun with your significant other, what resonates this month is the sense of grave devotion that underlies this desire for joyful expression and playfulness. You seem to feel no matter what you do some deep tide of feeling that is beyond any one thing this month, that makes you a little sad, and pensive. Though the aspect is harsh, the houses are congenial for connection, so I think that whatever tension is here merely needs some activity to play out. Tension does not break relationships, only lack of willingness. Always good to keep that in mind.
