Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 19)
Aries: This is the big month astrologers have been anxious for, a pair of eclipses that can be seen across the US, which build upon themes begun in February. But briefly, Mercury will retrograde this month on the 13th and so will backtrack to the cusp of Virgo. Virgo is its ruling domain, however, and so though initial correspondence and new ventures are generally discouraged during Mercury's Retrograde, I think working in writing, especially with material that needs to be edited, as well corresponding with people you already have a relationship with could indeed be fortuitous. Mercury in Retrograde is a time to reflect and ponder and go deeply over details, and communicate most of all with your inner needs; its an oft misunderstood position. Venus will be opposed Pluto this month in the middle of the month, hitting your lowest, deepest point in the chart and throwing into reflection Pluto at the very apex. A time of deep expression belies this aspect, of profound devotion to love, to your more integral causes, as well as perhaps a moment in public which could be defining for you and also expose in some way to the world the depths of your darker self. Now, finally, the eclipses: the first to come is the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on August 7th at 15 degrees Aquarius, which will be opposed to Mars, and trine Jupiter. The Lunar Eclipse itself will occur in your house of greater social advancement and worldly desires, as well as strength in numbers, while Mars and the Sun puts a lot of emphasis and personal motivation in your house of individuality and creativity and Jupiter initiates support from your house of relationship. Apparent here is that, as Lunar Eclipses rule endings, there could be a change in the makeup of the company you keep which depends upon your individual road. A new work to be made public, a child to be born, or raised in a certain way, a sports event, all matters of speculation and evident pleasure here are exacerbated by the sensitivity and added desire of your ego clung to Mars. You have ideals here you would see made flesh, and Jupiter suggests your partner supports you in everything right now. On August 21st will be the Solar Eclipse, conjunct exactly the star of Regulus, and forming a grand trine with the fire signs between Uranus and Saturn. A dynamic, glorious, powerful configuration. Uranus falls in your first house in Aries, the twin Sun-Moon as well as your ruler Mars in your house of creativity, and Saturn in your house of objective understanding. Now Solar Eclipses usher in new circumstances, but build upon old themes especially if slow-moving planets are involved, which they are in Uranus and Saturn. Thus Uranus who is finally poised to leave your sign in 2018 here gets the most significant aspect it will make before that time, directly tied to your ego, your subconscious, supported in reality, in true form by Saturn (who must be involved in all things concrete), so we have here events that reflect the tumultuous change within your person, your identity. Mental pursuits that hurt, that were like pulling teeth, here bring you much fought for illumination, while your Sun and Moon combined with your ruler is broiling in confidence and assurances; Uranus supports your radicalization of self. Whatever the manifestation, even if there be some loss involved, magnanimous strength of will and spark of originality are what is exemplified here at the Solar Eclipse.
